FinanceLiveHub Editorial Policy
Last updated: June 2026
This page explains how FinanceLiveHub researches, writes and publishes financial content. We are a UK personal finance platform covering mortgage rates, savings accounts, investing, credit cards, trading and live market data. Because financial content can directly affect how readers manage their money, we hold ourselves to a clear set of standards on accuracy, independence and transparency.
Our Editorial Independence
FinanceLiveHub’s editorial team makes all content decisions independently. We are not paid by financial providers, lenders or investment platforms to write about their products. When we include affiliate links, we disclose this clearly at the top of the relevant article. Affiliate relationships do not influence which products we feature, how we rate them or what we say about them. A product that pays us a referral fee receives the same honest assessment as one that does not.
How We Research Financial Content
For rate and price data – including mortgage deals, savings rates and credit card APRs – we check rates directly from lender and provider websites. We include a last-verified date on time-sensitive rate articles so readers can see exactly when the information was checked. Rates change frequently, so we update these articles regularly or remove outdated data rather than leaving inaccurate numbers live.
For regulatory and tax guidance, we use primary sources including Bank of England publications, FCA official guidance, HMRC website data, ONS statistics and government legislation. We do not rely on secondary sources or unverified third-party claims for regulatory information.
For trading and investing content, we use market data from recognised data providers and exchanges. We include risk warnings on all trading and investing content as required by FCA guidance. We do not make specific investment recommendations or price predictions.
Our Accuracy Standards
Before publication, every article is reviewed for factual accuracy. This includes checking that rates quoted match current provider data, that regulatory guidance cited is current and correctly interpreted, and that risk disclosures meet the standards expected for financial content.
When errors are identified – whether by readers, our team or automated monitoring – we correct them promptly and note the correction at the bottom of the relevant article. We do not quietly edit errors without disclosure.
Not Personal Financial Advice
The content on FinanceLiveHub is for educational and informational purposes only. It does not constitute personal financial advice. FinanceLiveHub is not regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority to provide personal financial advice. If you need guidance tailored to your specific circumstances, please consult a qualified independent financial adviser (IFA) who is authorised and regulated by the FCA.
Corrections and Feedback
If you spot an error in any of our content, please contact us at support@financelivehub.com with the article URL and the specific information you believe is incorrect. We investigate all correction requests and respond within 2 working days.
Content Updates
Financial information changes frequently. We update our guides, rate comparisons and regulatory content when the underlying data changes. Major updates are noted with a new “last updated” date at the top of the article. We aim to review time-sensitive content at least every three months.
